From taking up a new hobby to discovering an ancient unfinished project to becoming an overnight Facebook star - Aussie seniors are show they won't be held back.
There are so many good news stories about what people have done when their social life is suddenly put on hold.
Take Del Matheson, from Woy Woy NSW.
"With lockdown and all other activities cancelled, I started to look at my wool stash and decided to use up as much of it as I could," she wrote to The Senior.
"Since lockdown began, I've knitted slippers, crocheted coathanger covers and made children's jumpers.
"At the back of the cupboard I found my half-knitted yellow jumper and thought, 'now is the time'.
"The Family Circle pattern book was dated April 24, 1986, and I finally finished the jumper on April 22, 2020 - so exactly 34 years in the making."
