SINGING, dancing, laughing, learning - and the chance to win a Broken Hill Wanderer Tour. The NSW Seniors Festival from February 1-12 offers all this and so much more.
Free and low-cost events are being held across the state to keep seniors entertained, informed, healthy and happy.
The hottest tickets in town were to the Premier's Gala Concerts featuring a stellar line-up of entertainers, including Kate Ceberano, Ross Wilson and Rodger Corser, at ICC Sydney on February 2-3.
Running in tandem with the concerts, the Seniors Festival Expo at the Exhibition Centre features more than 50 exhibitors, live entertainment and giveaways.
Expo holiday prize
Visitors to The Senior's stand - number 37 - have the chance to win a Broken Hill Wanderer holiday courtesy of Silver City Tours for signing up to receive our e-newsletters.
If you miss out on the holiday prize, don't despair, because we will also be giving away 10 double passes to a Captain Cook Cruises top deck lunch cruise or high tea cruise on Sydney Harbour (valued at $158 per double pass).
They'll also be able to talk to a representative of Travelrite International about the fabulous range of senior escorted holidays planned around the world this year and next.
Lots to do
If you can't make it into the city, there's plenty more on offer to suit everyone.
There are chances to try something new - think meditation, tai chi, mahjong, painting, orienteering, bowls or croquet.
You can get tech savvy, join discussion groups, take an exercise class, learn how to train your brain, step out on guided walks, enjoy mystery tours, have a go at line dancing, and attend mini expos.
And you can find out about aged care and retirement living options, and enjoy morning tea in some wonderful locations.
The festival is an opportunity to meet new people, embrace new interests and to get the information you need to make the best choices for you as you age.
Looking for something a little different? Head to Oz Funland at Leumeah where you'll see selected pieces of Oz memorabilia from Australia's biggest Wizard of Oz collector, Dorothy Overton's eclectic collection. And top off your visit by reliving the nostalgia of the one of the greatest movies of all time by taking a walk down an actual yellow brick road full of photo opportunities.
