WOULD you book a hotel room without knowing exactly where you'll lay your head that night?
Apparently many do in the hope of snaring a bargain.
Hotel chain Mantra has launched a Mystery Hotel deal for Surfers Paradise accommodation, providing guests the opportunity to bag a bargain by booking at an unnamed Mantra hotel or resort.
Only the barest of property details are displayed on the website, but guests can be assured they're getting a great room in a location close to the beach that comes with a level of amenities and service you would expect from this leading hotel and resort operator.
There's a selection of room types, including hotel rooms and spacious one, two and three-bedroom self-contained apartments.
Guests can see bedding configuration options and the hotel's key facilities. The name and address of the hotel will be revealed within 24 hours of booking.
Prices range from $99 a night for a hotel room, $119 a night for a one-bedroom apartment, $169 for a two-bedroom apartment and $199 a night for a three-bedroom apartment.
Conditions, such as length of stay, apply, and the special prices are only available for online bookings.
