Illuminations on the Opera House. Photo: Daniel Boud.
THE sails of the Sydney Opera House are now illuminated every evening to celebrate the rich history and contemporary vibrancy of Australia's First Nations culture.
Badu Gili - meaning "water light" in the language of the site's traditional owners, the Gadigal people - explores ancient stories in a spectacular seven-minute animation illuminating the eastern Bennelong sail at sunset and again at 7pm.
It is best viewed from the Opera House Podium at the top of the Monumental Steps.
