ORGANISERS of Narooma's Oyster Festival see no need for a hard shell, they know the area's produce well and truly speaks for itself.
Guests will have a chance to meet local oyster farmers and taste some of the finest oysters grown in estuaries along the NSW coast at the festival, which will take place on May 5.
The festival will also feature goods from some of the region's finest dairy farmers and producers include Clyde River Berry Farm, Disaster Bay Chillies, The Tilba Real Dairy and Tanja Olives.
The festival will feature plenty of tasting opportunities and cooking demonstrations and stalls.
It will be supported by the Katungul Aboriginal Corporation and will also celebrate local Indigenous people with a range of cultural demonstrations and performances.
The program will include a performance by the Djaadjawan Dancers, displays of art and craft by members of the local Yuin community and a how to throw a boomerang demonstration.
There will also be a full day of entertainment provided by various acts including Beautifully Mad, Claude Hay, Jas Alley, Johny Huckle, Kate Burke and more.
While the festival will take place on the Saturday, it will officially launch with a diverse program of live entertainment at Foster's Bay on the evening of May 4.
Entertainment on the Friday night will include a live motocross demonstration, performances by local bands, a set by Sydney's Steve Edmonds Band and a waterside fireworks display.
