IF YOU'RE sniffing out an excuse to go camping in Manjimup, then a truffle festival in the Southern Forests is sure to offer fungi for the whole family.
The Truffle Kerfuffle is expected to attract truffle lovers and first-time visitors from June 22-24.
Top chefs Guy Grossi, Mark Best, Sam Aisbett, Scott Brannigan, Marrianne Lumb and Bruno Loubet have all been confirmed for the festival.
Co-director Max Brearley said participating chefs were united by their love of and expertise of cooking with truffles.
He said the popular Truffle Hunter's Breakfast, which will be hosted by Scott Brannigan, would be a highlight.
"He's an imaginative chef who appreciates great ingredients and he's able to let the food do the talking," he said of the Fremantle chef.
Another big event will be the chefs' cabin sessions, which will see leading
chefs such as Best, Lumb and Loubet host masterclasses.
There will also be markets, wine tours, truffle hunts and an array of cooking demonstrations.
