In winter, travellers often pass through Alton Downs just outside Rocky and many end up joining the dance, says hall president Peter Craig.
All receive a warm welcome, he says.
The next dance will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 7pm until late.
Local musician Syd Stickley, aka the Keyboard Kid, will be tickling the ivories for dances such as the Pride of Erin, Gypsy Tap, Canberra Two Step, Festival Glide, Hucklebuck and Twilight Waltz.

Peter said: "Dancing is a great activity to reduce stress, improve fitness, enhance brain health and increase social interaction.
"We are delighted to offer these low-cost dances to members of the local community and invite visitors from Rocky and further afield to join our friendly dance action."
He said the evening includes a sit-down supper of delicious home-made goodies. "It's a chance to say hello to someone new while fuelling up for the next round of dancing," he said
All ages are invited to join in - there are plenty of older dancers who enjoy sharing their skills with younger visitors at the event.
Entry is $12 per person. For more information, call Peter on 0427-341-166.
