The show - which satirises irrepressible "show brats" will be at the Alex Theatre from March 1-24.
The show follows the outrageous actions of 8-year-old Tina Denmark, who is convinced she's born to play the lead role of Pippi Longstocking in her school musical.
The show playfully pokes fun at Broadway musicals such as Gypsy and Mame, as well as classic films such as All About Eve and The Bad Seed.
Featuring music by Marvin Laird and a script and lyrics by Joel Paley, the show stars Chloe Halley and Luisa Oro; who will share the role of Tina Denmark and beloved entertainer Dolly Diamond as Sylvia St. Croix.
Dolly described the chance to play the role as "a dream come true".
"Sylvia St. Croix is a character I've longed to embody on stage, and now, alongside this incredible cast, we're creating a production that will leave Melbourne audiences roaring with laughter," Dolly said.
Other cast members include Britni Leslie, Emma Clair Waxman, Olivia Charalambous, Stephanie Astrid John, Jens Radda and Lucy May Kight.
Director Chelsea Matheson described the show as "a spoof that has enough absurd plot twists and multiple identities to fill several old movies".
