The five-night, four-day tour includes stops at the Killer Whale Museum; Tathra, with its historic sea wharf; the Bega Cheese factory; the Historic Vehicle Club in Pambula; National Trust-listed Central Tilba; Merimbula Aquarium: and Potoroo Palace.
The Hillcrest is a stop in itself. Built in 1969, the motel has been given a new face while preserving the character that has made it a popular holiday stop for decades.
It has 30 rooms, six of which have been newly renovated by architects Atelier Chardon and styled by Miranda O'Rourke and Harrison Boladis.
Over the next year, more rooms will be transformed. In the meantime the remaining rooms have each been given a temporary facelift.
Private balconies overlook the ocean and provide uninterrupted sunrise and sunset views each day. Activities include surfing, mountain biking, golfing, snorkelling and paddle boarding, while bushwalks along the nature trails are a great way to experience the nearby hinterland.
The tour package includes accommodation at the Hillcrest, five evening meals, four lunches, five continental breakfasts, entry into all attractions and five-star luxury coach travel. The cost of the tour is $1255 per person twin share; $1355 single share.
