Caboolture Gem Club members returned home from the recent Queensland Lapidary and Allied Craft Clubs Australia annual presentations with a swag of awards, including Lapidary Club of the Year, heading the points tally from all other QLACCA affiliated clubs throughout the state.

Club treasurer, Leon Allen, accepted the perpetual trophy, a club trophy and certificate.
The Lapidary of the year (faceting) award was won by club faceting instructor Steve Somerville while
"Lapidary of the year (Jewellery) was club member and silversmith Instructor Donna Parker.
Caboolture Gem Club can now proudly boast to have the top faceting instructor and top silversmith instructor in the QLACCA group of clubs.
The Caboolture Gem Club meets daily at the Caboolture Historical Village, Beerburrum Road. It currently has more than 100 members interesting in polishing, faceting, silver smithing and fossicking.
New members welcome to drop in daily 8.15am - 2pm (Fridays and Sunday excluded).
There are also evening meetings.
