A non-stop Jetstar route connecting Sydney and Busselton-Margaret River Airport has been announced today, to start three times a week on March 26, 2024.
Following the success of the Melbourne non-stop flights last year, this new offering gives Sydney-siders easier access to the iconic Margaret River region, famed for its incredible premium wines, spectacular coastline, dazzling caves and towering forests.
Busselton is the northern hub of the Margaret River region and it's had quite a coming of age in 2023, with a boom of new food and beverage offerings, accommodation, and experiences.
There are a number of new experiences opening in 2024, including the five-storey Hilton Garden Inn Busselton and boutique glamping accommodation Willow Wood Glamping Retreat.
The Busselton Jetty - the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere - has 13 underwater sculptures, to create a sculpture trail and artificial reef at the end of the 1.8-kilometre icon in the Margaret River region. This new addition to the Busselton Jetty is a submerged experience for divers, swimmers and snorkellers, while the sculptures create new habitat for local marine wildlife.
Earlier in 2023, stage one of the Busselton Central Shopping Centre's $45 million redevelopment opened.
The new flight will provide 25,000 additional inbound seats to WA's South West in its first year, including overseas travellers wishing to access the world-renowned food and wine region without stopping over in Perth.
The Busselton-Margaret River Airport is located 6.8km from the Busselton city centre and just a 45-minute drive from the town of Margaret River.
