He played Allister Thorne in smash hit fantasy series Game of Thrones, and now Owen Teale is heading to Melbourne to take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.
The Tony Award-winning actor and international screen star will star in Old Vic's production of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, at the Comedy Theatre from November 12 to December 31.
In addition to his recurring role in the smash HBO series, Teale currently appears in the BBC detective thriller Wolf.
His other screen credits include Stella; Line of Duty; The Rig; The Pembrokeshire Murders; Spooks; Doctor Who; Robin Hood; Tolkien, The Last Legion; and King Arthur.

Recent international stage credits include his Tony Award-winning turn in A Doll's House, No Man's Land and King Lear.
A Christmas Carol will mark the first time the actor has starred on an Australian stage since the 2004 tour of the West End production Dance of Death.
