Lectures and demonstrations will be held across eight speaker stages featuring Gardening Australia's Sophie Thomson and Jerry Coleby-Williams as well as favourites Phil Dudman, Claire Bickle and Kate Wall.
"The expo covers all corners of the backyard, from a feature on keeping domestic chickens to organic veggie growing in the Giant Kitchen Garden," said event manager Marion Beazley.
"But it's not just about the great outdoors - indoor plants and floral arranging are more popular than ever and we've got extensive information, products and displays."
The expo will also play host to the Australian Floral Art Association's National Convention that will showcase the Nature's Expression floral art competition.
The convention and competition will attract floral artists from all over Australia, with up to 100 competition entries expected.
Garden expo entry: adults $22.50 online, $25 at gate; children 15 and under free.
