A display by Swiss artist Dan Acheris in Bowral will transport visitors to the Arctic Circle in an experience unique to the Southern Highlands.
From May 25-June 30, the night sky will light up in colour every Thursday to Sunday at Bowral's Centennial Vineyards.
Borealis In The Vines combines technology and art to create unique auroras.
Colour, movement, density of light beams and changing weather work together to give infinite variations.
Those behind the display describe it as surreal.
It is not just about what you see, but what you hear; an experience beyond the visual effect.
Set to a soundtrack created by French composer Guillaume Desbois, the music is as wispy and ethereal as the auroras.
Sounds develop in layers, created using synthesisers and traditional instruments.
The result is an immersive experience that has toured from Switzerland to Japan and is now heading to NSW.
Tickets are now on sale, starting at $10 for children and $25 for adults.
A VIP package starts at $55 per person.
It will allow priority entry into Borealis in The Vines, souvenir lanyard, access to premium viewing area and one drink voucher redeemable for champagne, wine, beer or soft drink.
