Views across the Southern Flinders Ranges previously unseen will become visible on two wheels when the Epic Mountain Bike Trail opens.

The 42km-long trail winds through Mount Remarkable National Park and adjacent lands, opening up new parts of the park and previously unseen natural vistas.

The unique cultural heritage and biodiversity of the region has been blended into the design in consultation with the Nukunu Wapma Thura Aboriginal Corporation.
South Australian company TrailScapes designed and built the $1.8 million trail, which has International Mountain Bicycling Association accreditation. The project has reached the halfway mark and is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
Part of the $10 million Remarkable Southern Flinders project, the Epic trail complements the day visitor facilities at Wirrabara and the 20km of new trails in Mount Remarkable National Park at Willowie.
The Remarkable Southern Flinders project will also have a multi-day walking experience on the western side of the range in Wapma Thura-Southern Flinders Ranges National Park and an upgrade of the Mambray Creek campground and day visitor area.
