The event builds on the work of five similar expos held in Perth.
A project of the Aged and Community Care Providers Association (formed through a merger of Leading Age Services Australia and Aged and Community Services Australis) the expo aims to inform older people and their families how they can age well with confidence.
Organiser Richard Campbell from CMS Events said it will bring together products and service providers from almost every industry sector that impacts an older person's life.
Visitors will be able to compare products and services, talk to experts and attend seminars on everything from legal services to healthy eating. More than 80 exhibitors, including residential care, home care, retirement living, equipment, service providers, health care, legal and financial, medical, consultants, technology, and support groups will be represented.
The Lifestyle Stage will provide a continuous stream of information from industry experts and discussion panels, while the Uniting AgeWell Chat Lounge will have a focus on ageing well, staying healthy, innovative products to make life easier and consultation with health professionals, as well as entertainment.
There will also be a help desk and information service. In the centre of the expo, the Retreat lounge area will offer a space to relax and regroup over a coffee or a bite to eat from the pop-up cafe.
The expo will open 9.30am-4pm both days. Entry is free but pre-registration is encouraged HERE.
