The five-time Tony Award winning Titanic The Musical will be at Melbourne Town Hall for four performances only from November 4-6.
The special event brings together an all star Australian cast and 26-piece orchestra to commemorate the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the giant passenger liner.
The retelling of the tragic historical event features characters based on real life passengers and crew who were on board for the ship's fateful journey.
Directed by Theresa Borg, the production will star Anthony Warlow as Captain E.J. Smith, Juan Jackson as ship designer and builder Thomas Andrews and Kane Alexander as ship owner J. Bruce Ismay.
Other cast members include Johanna Allen, Shannon Cheong, Martin Croft, Marissa Economo, Amy Fortnum, Natalie Gamsu, Madison Green, Jonathan Hickey, Martin Lane and James MacAlpine.
The show has been described as "stunning" and "stirring", focusing on the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the ship's passengers.
Among those passengers were Third-Class immigrants, who dreamed of a better life in America, Second-Class passengers who dreamed of living lifestyles of the rich and famous and First Class millionaires who thought they would leave very different legacies.
Producer Paul Marrollo said the talented cast and their powerful voices would make for an unmissable theatre experience.
In the final hours of April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic sank in the North-Atlantic ocean after colliding with an iceberg on its maiden voyage from Southampton to New York. 1517 people lost their lives.
Performance times will be 8pm on November 4, 2pm and 8pm on November 5 and 3pm on November 6. For more information click here.
