Portarlington Bayside Miniature Railway has resumed services, following a week long closure.
The railway made the decision to halt services until further notice from January 2, due to COVID concerns. It has now resumed school holiday services, from 11am-4pm on Sundays and Wednesdays.
Railway vice president Brian Coleman said the railway was excited to be open to the public again.
"The miniature railway is a unique and iconic tourist attraction for Geelong and the Bellarine and there will be many happy people longing to see the mini railway back in operation," he said.
He said meeting current public health guidelines was a condition of attendance.
"The health and safety of our visitors and volunteers is paramount.
"Without our volunteers, there would not be a miniature railway."
The railway is Geelong's only passenger carrying miniature railway and is located on parkland on the foreshore at Point Richards.
