A Sydney drama teacher has been charged with raping a student over a decade ago.
Police launched an investigation when a woman came forward in 2019 alleging she had been sexually assaulted by the man as a 19-year-old in 2009.
The woman had begun taking drama lessons with the man four years earlier when she was 15 and he was 44, police say.
In February 2020, police searched a home in Bondi, seizing multiple communications devices, storage devices and video tapes.
Following extensive inquiries, a 60-year-old man was arrested on Thursday and charged with sexual intercourse without consent.
He has been granted conditional bail and will appear in the Downing Centre Local Court on July 13.
