MELVILLE Theatre's new passion project asks the question 'are you ever too old to fall in love?'
The Palmyra based theatre will present romantic comedy Old Love from November 19-December 5.
Written by Norm Foster, the play tells the love story of divorced man Bud and recently widowed Molly.
Molly is the wife of Bud's former boss and the pair spark up a romance when he visits to pay his respects.
The two chacacters co-narrate the story of their initial meeting and how they came to the decision to take a chance on happiness.
Norm Foster is considered Canada's most produced playwright and is frequently compared to famous playwright Neil Simon.
Director Vanessa Jensen said the company wanted to present a light and funny play that would bring a positive end to a difficult year.
"Old Love certainly fit the bill because it is gentle, humorous and its underpinning theme is hope," she said.
The play will be performed at 8pm on November 19, 20, 26, 27, 28 and December 3, 4 and 5, with a 2pm matinee on November 29.
