WHALE watching is back in Sydney and Captain Cook Cruises is making a splash, offering huge savings.
The popular cruise line will be offering tours from July 3 and pre-season tickets are available for as low as $55 - a 40 per cent saving.
Humpback whale numbers are growing by 10 per cent each year and every ticket comes with a free second cruise in the rare event a whale isn't spotted.
The three-hour cruise departs from Darling Harbour, passing the Sydney Opera House and eastern suburbs, before exiting the Harbour headlands to open water.
An onboard marine specialist is on hand during every cruise and dolphins, seals, albatross and fairy penguins are also regularly spotted.
Captain Cook Cruises general manager Anthony Haworth said it was exciting to be back on the water.
"A whale watching cruise is a vibrant, outdoor experience and the perfect panacea for months of lockdown in New South Wales," he said.
Cruises take place on comfortable catamarans equipped with outdoor and indoor viewing areas and passenger numbers will be limited due to social distancing regulations.
The morning cruise departs from 10am from Friday-Sunday and every day during school holidays. An additional afternoon cruise departs at 1.15pm on weekends.
The pre-season special of $55 tickets per person will be available until July 2 and can be used any time before October 28.
