Newmarch House - the western Sydney aged care home at the centre of one of Australia's worst COVID-19 clusters - has cleared all residents who tested positive for the virus.
Nineteen residents died, and 37 residents and 34 staff tested positive for the virus at the Anglicare Sydney-run nursing home. The outbreak began in April after a member of staff worked six shifts with mild COVID-19 symptoms.
"The state coroner has accepted jurisdiction for COVID-19 related deaths of residents from Newmarch House," a statement from the Department of Justice said on Wednesday.
"Police will prepare a brief of evidence for the coroner."
