Q STATION Manly is stepping back into the past, offering a special accommodation rate for those who would like to self-isolate for a 14-day period at what was once Sydney's Old Quarantine Station.
Q Station offers a range of accommodation options across its 33-hectare site at North Head, Manly which once used to house arriving migrants. Its historic buildings were converted to a hotel and conference centre several years ago.
You can choose between what used to be First and Second Class Accommodation ($100 a night) or the former Isolation Retreat Suites ($150) and two-bedroom Hospital Apartments ($175). Three Bedroom Cottages with kitchenettes are also available ($200).
Basic grocery packs can be delivered to your room for $20 per room or you can book breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks for in-room dining at $70 per person, per day.
Limited room servicing applies.
"We've been in Quarantine since 1828," said a Q Station spokesperson. "We are no stranger to pandemics and have always successfully kept our residence and guests healthy in their mind and body. All areas of our hotel are regularly deep cleaned; our kitchens uphold the highest level of food safety standards; and our guests have easy access to hand sanitation stations around the property."
