In 1957, five working class lads from North London linked up to form The Dave Clark Five - and popular music changed forever.
This was the band that a few years later spearheaded the British "invasion" of the US, becoming the first UK band to tour America and scoring an unprecedented 15 consecutive top 20 hits - more than any other act bar The Beatles.
Now, to mark their influence, a collection of their greatest finally is up for grabs, available by pre-order from January 24.
And their fans couldn't be happier: the DC5's catalogue of recordings has been one of the most sought-after collections in rock history having been off the market for more than a decade.
Available on vinyl for the first time in more than 40 years, the album features 28 tracks, including their most famous hit, Glad All Over.
This is the song that knocked The Beatles off the UK's No.1 spot in 1964, going on to sell more than 2.5 million records.
As if to prove it was no fluke, the monster hit was followed by Bits And Pieces, which repeated the success, a seemingly impossible feat for a semi-professional outfit without an agent or a manager.
Both hits perfectly showcased the DC5's style of sound, a unique brand of pop, weighed by the feet-stomping drums of Dave Clark and the power of Mike Smith's vocals. Other hits include their multimillion-selling record Do You Love Me and Catch Us If You Can.
After appearing a record-breaking 18 times on The Ed Sullivan Show, which had a weekly audience of 70 million, the DC5 notched up a record-breaking 15 consecutive top 20 US hit singles in two years
Rock purists, especially, will love the All The Hits double-album LP ($51.77), which was exquisitely remastered by Clark himself at Abbey Road Studios. It is also available on CD ($20.71) with a 32-page booklet, as well as digitally for downloading and steaming.
