A brand new, revolutionary dental implant treatment developed in Australia is giving new hope to people with full dentures.

Developed by reputable surgeons, bio-engineers and titanium printing facilities, FaceFrame is a new clinical solution and complete game changer when it comes to dental implant solutions.

The treatment by Profilo Surgical offers an affordable, healthy and long-term solution for patients who have very little or no natural jaw bone, are unable to have dental implants or who have no suitable alternative to replacing their existing full denture.

Known for pushing the boundaries in expert surgical techniques and innovative technology, Profilo Surgical offers a range of treatments, such as jaw surgery and facial and dental implants, and now FaceFrame, from their surgeries in Newcastle and Sydney.

FaceFrame was invented by Profilo Surgical's principal surgeon Dr Paul Coceancig, a specialist in oral and maxillofacial surgery.

"Wearing full dentures can not only affect the way a person talks and smiles, but also dramatically change their enjoyment when it comes to eating," said Dr Coceancig.

"Existing dental implant solutions which offer an alternative to dentures can be costly, and rely on the person still having their natural jaw bone which is often not the case."

While the FaceFrame procedure uses state-of-the-art technology, the process is simple and cost effective, and means the patient can say goodbye to dentures permanently.

"FaceFrame begins with one simple CT scan, plus we take an optical scan of your relined full denture. The combined data then allows us to artificially recreate your mouth and jaws and to computer design your unique FaceFrame and new smile," said Dr Coceancig.

"Then your surgeon will sit down with you to review the 3D computer simulation of your new face and mouth. This is your chance to think about the things you dislike about the look, colour, shape, function or feel of your current full-denture, and together we can help create your perfect new smile."

Using state-of-the-art metal 3D printing technology, a custom-made titanium frame is created, designed specifically for the patient and perfectly contoured to fit against their natural jaw bone.

"Our planning 3D digitisation process guarantees absolute clinical accuracy and a perfect fit to the patient's new teeth, eliminating the need both for complex implant surgery, or traditional impression based dental care," said Dr Coceancig.

"Placing the new teeth is done through bio-medical engineering, reducing the negative risks of traditional implant treatment on jaw joint health, sinuses or local nerves."

The pain-free procedure is performed in hospital, and recovery is with trained hospital staff to maximise comfort.

Once fitted, the titanium implant lies almost entirely hidden, and underneath the gum tissue.

"The final result will restore full functionality to the patient's mouth so they can smile and eat with total confidence and comfort," said Dr Coceancig.

FaceFrame is available at clinics in both Sydney and Newcastle and is covered in one cost, with no hidden fees. To find out more information call 1300 323 822 or visit Profilo Surgical.
