American singer Suzi Quatro is bringing her It's Only Rock 'N' Roll tour to Australia.
The 68-year-old rocker, who has sold over over 55 million records including hits The Wild One, 48 Crash, Devil Gate Drive, She's in Love with You and If You Can't Give Me Love has announced eight shows in October and November 2019.
Quatro said the Australian shows will be "about stripping everything back to the original sounds".
"Bass, drums, keys and guitar. It will be exciting to be raw again. Back to basics. This is what everyone signed on for," she said.
The tour will follow up on her new album No Control which was released earlier this year, and coincide with the release of a documentary spanning her career.
Four years in the making the film Suzi Q features interviews with many of Suzi's contemporaries and is expected to premiere at the Melbourne Film Festival in August, followed by a cinema release in October.
The It's Only Rock 'N' Roll Tour will see Suzi performing her greatest hits.
Her latest studio album No Control includes 11 new songs and two bonus tracks and features a first-time studio collaboration with her producer son Richard Tuckey.
Suzi recently joined The Angels, Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets, Jon Stevens, Moving Pictures and Chocolate Starfish on the national Red Hot Summer Tour.
Tickets go on sale on May 10.
