ALZHEIMER'S Disease International is seeking participants for the world's largest survey on people's attitudes toward dementia.
The survey, being undertaken for the organisation by experts from the London School of Economics and Political Science, is available online until June 15.
It will form the basis of the organisation's 2019 World Alzheimer's Report.
"This is an important opportunity for us to discover what is happening in the wider community around dementia so we can better understand what barriers exist globally and how to approach and overcome them," said Alzheimer's Disease International chief executive Paola Barbarino.
"Dementia is truly a global health crisis and we need a global response to this survey."
The survey places a strong focus on the stigma surrounding dementia, in all forms.
Feedback is being sought from the general public, health and care professionals, people living with dementia and carers.
The survey is anonymous and most questions are multiple choice. It takes around 10 minutes to complete.
There are 50 million people living with dementia worldwide, with that figure projected to increase to 152 million by 2050.
The World Alzheimer's Report will be released in September.
