THE world’s best classical crossover group, Il Divo, head to Australia in October for a national tour. And if you can’t make it to a show, their latest CD will give you a taste of the amazing multi-national vocal quartet.
Switzerland’s Urs Buhler, Spaniard Carlos Marin, American David Miller and Frenchman Sebastien Izambard have curated the song selections for Timeless.
Heading the list is the first single, Hola – a Spanish language version of Adele’s hit Hello.
The album’s songs are a classic mix of favourite pop and traditional standards in four languages. They include Love Me Tender, What A Wonderful World, Smile, All of Me and The Way We Were.
“We chose songs that have a timeless quality, many of which were part of classic movies, including Smile, which was in Charlie Chaplin’s film Modern Times in 1936 and was a song for which Chaplin composed the music,” said Carlos Marin.
Timeless, Il Divo, RRP $19.99.
