TASMANIANS who have always dreamed of hopping on a plane and seeing Antarctica from the air in a day can do just that from November.
The 25th season of Antarctica flights begins this month and for the first time the world’s only Antarctica flight-seeing tour will be available from Hobart as well as Melbourne.
Never before has it been so easy to take in the beauty of the great white wilderness of Antarctica.
Departing November 25 passengers will spend around four hours over the breathtaking continent aboard a Qantas Boeing 747, with complimentary drinks and meals included.
Onboard will be Antarctica experts with plenty of intrepid tales about the world’s fifth largest continent as the aircraft descends as low as 10,000 feet over the ice.
The one-day sightseeing flights over Antarctica take around 12 hours, and are an easy way to view this mysterious and dramatic continent.
No passports are needed and you are kept warm with a drink in hand while the privately chartered Qantas plane glides over the amazing scenery for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Prices start from $1,199 per person.
