START your engines and get steaming for the annual Pearn’s Steam Up, which celebrates a century of Ford tractors this November long weekend.
Between 20 and 30 Ford tractors will be on display, including a 100-year-old T-model prototype.
On top of the three-day celebration of historic tractors, the weekend also marks a special anniversary.
“On the Saturday it will be 30 years of operation of the museum,” said Pearn’s Steam World president Brenton Heazlewood.
Saturday’s focus is on engines from the past 100 years, along with steam engines and a fairground organ from the UK.
On Sunday, the vehicles switch to Ford cars from the past 100 years, while Monday is a general family day with steam traction engines, hay press, steam roller, miniature steam trains circumnavigating the complex and miniature traction engines giving children rides.
“We’re expecting around 1000 people over the weekend, maybe more,” Brenton said.
“A lot of grandparents bring their grandchildren and people come from all over the world.”
