WINTER and delicious food go hand in hand and Winterfeast on Queensland's central coast celebrates this link.
The annual foodie festival serves up a smorgasbord of events highlighting the connection between the plate and the farm gates.
Visitors can sit back and relax at a number of long dining experiences including the Sunday Soiree, Breakfast at The Table, Long Lunch at The Table and even Dinner at The Table.
There's also Tastings on the Terrace, hosted by the wine making team behind Hill of Promise Winery, where guests can learn all about how the delicious drops are made.
An Artisan Food Tour will take foodies behind the farm gates to some of Bundaberg's best producers for a farmer's picnic.
Or you can go on a culinary journey of the whole area without leaving the riverfront at Chilli and Lime Fiesta at Riverfeast.
Of course, the region's most famous export Bundaberg Rum is part of the fun with the distillery hosting a cocktail event with rum-inspired food and drink.
Bundaberg North Burnett Tourism general manager Katherine Reid said visitors will be spoilt for choice at this year's festival.
"Winterfeast goes beyond the dining experience, each event pulls back the curtain to reveal the stories behind each dish - the farmers, the chefs, the makers," she said.
"The events being plated up for Winterfeast are very special and we're already fielding a lot of interest from right throughout Queensland."
