FRESH from lighting up the small screen on The Young Pope, Jude Law tread the boards as Gino in the stage production of Obsession.
Based on Luchino Viconti's 1943 film, Obsession tells the story of a handsome drifter who encounters husband and wife Guiseppe and Giovanna at a roadside restaurant.
Irresistibly attracted to each other, Gino and Giovanna begin a fiery affair and plot to murder her husband. But in this chilling tale of passion and destruction, the crime only serves to tear them apart.
National Theatre Live has captured the performance from the Barbican Theatre in London so audiences around the world can see the show via the big screen.
