IF YOU'RE hoping to secure a seat on the Elvis Express from Sydney to Parkes for next year's Elvis Festival, mark September 19 in your diary. Because the booking line opens at 9.30am that day.
The Elvis Express is an annual 350km pilgrimage for hundreds of Elvis fans travelling from Central Station to the Parkes in Central Western NSW.
"The Elvis Express sold out in 20 minutes last year, so it's imperative that fans of this hugely popular service take no chances on Monday by calling the booking line at 9.30am sharp," parliamentary secretary for Central NSW Sarah Mitchell.
"It's the 15th anniversary of the Elvis Express next year and will no doubt will be the biggest festival to date."
Tickets on the 2017 NSW TrainLink Elvis Express are available on a return basis only and cost $245, which includes onboard entertainment to and from Parkes; a Welcome Pack on seats prior to departure; unlimited travel on the festival shuttle bus; Elvis Ultimates show on Sunday night at Parkes Leagues Club; pre-departure entertainment at Central Station from about 7.30am.
The Elvis Express will depart Central at 9am on Thursday, January 12, arriving at Parkes at 4.30pm. It will return 8.30am on Monday , January 16, arriving at Central at 3.50pm.
The final timetable will be released on September 19.
Pick-up/drop-off will also be available from Strathfield, Parramatta and Penrith.
Bookings are only available by calling the NSW TrainLink Contact Centre on 137-245.
