SYDNEY Town Hall holds a special place in the hearts of many Sydneysiders. But did you know the many different ways it has been used in Sydney's social history?
Everyone's invited to a family-friendly event in June that shares stories from Sydney Town Hall's surprising past.
Come and wander the beautiful interiors of this historic building. You'll encounter life-size historical figures who will capture the memory of events through speeches, songs and dance.
Take part in a paper plane game inspired by Amy Johnson's solo flight to Australia in 1930, help recreate a huge floral carpet full of paper flowers or enjoy a ballroom dancing lesson.
There will be special activities and opportunities to go behind the scenes. Enjoy re-enactments in the Lady Mayoress's Rooms or play at being 'Mayor for a Minute' while sitting on the Lord Mayor's chair. You can also enjoy fancy dress - costumes supplied or wear your own.
So come along, bring the family and be part of Sydney Town Hall's history.
