AUSTRALIA Day will bring a rare opportunity to explore North Geelong's 1858 Osborne House Mansion ground floor rooms.
The property, at 51 Swinburne Street, will open from 10am-4pm on January 26.
Historical displays will be on view in several rooms, while displays of local history, model engineering and photography will be hosted in the foyer of the East Wing.
Local history books, magazines and DVDs will be for sale, and second-hand book bargain bins will cater to a wide range of interests.
Tea and coffee will be available, and admission is by gold coin donation.
The adjacent Maritime Museum and Geelong Vietnam Veterans Military Museum will also be open.
