According to the company, a heavy increase in wildlife tourism has seen an escalation in unethical wildlife and animal-related attractions.
Tempo Holidays marketing executive Natalie Kyriacou said the company would no longer sell elephant rides or any tours that promote the mistreatment of animals.
"We are committed to implementing policies that ensure exploitative animal activities are not being promoted or supported," she said.
It has been reported that baby elephants are routinely taken from their mothers and beaten, hit, poked, prodded and jabbed with sharp hooks, sometimes until bloody, to "break their spirit".
