VISITORS to the Blue Mountains this month should make sure a visit to the Mt Wilson and Mt Irvine Spring Festival Photography and Art Exhibition is on their "to do" list.

The fourth annual exhibition on the October 10-11 weekend will feature photography, art, metal art and handmade jewellery by local and interstate artists.
Blue Mountains photographer Gary Hayes will hold a landscape photographers' workshop on Saturday. The two-hour workshop will cover the main aspects of creative landscape capture and processing. The second hour will include a short field trip to De Faurs lookout to put theory into practice. Cost is $50.
On Sunday you can wander the gardens with photographers Ian and Dianne English on their guided Garden Walks in Nooroo and Merry Garth. Cost is $25 including garden entry.
Sunday will also see a two-hour bird walk around Mt Wilson with Elisabeth and Tom Karplus. You can expect to see parrots, bowerbirds, whipbirds and other natives. Cost is $25.
The photography and art exhibition will be held in the Mt Wilson Village Hall from 10am-4pm both days. Entry is by gold coin donation.
Funds raised will go to the Mt Wilson and Mt Irvine Fire Brigade.
