LOVERS of harmony singing can hear Australia’s finest barbershop choruses and quartets in one place when Melbourne hosts the 2015 Barbershop Harmony of Australia Harmony Goldrush convention in September.
The four-day convention, which will be officially launched with a free lunchtime concert and mass sing at Federation Square on September 17, will run from September 16-20.
The highlight will be the grand finale concert on September 19 at Hamer Hall. Throughout the convention our best harmony quartets and choruses will battle it out for medal honours.
Special guest performers will be internationally renowned world gold medals quartet Vocal Spectrum from St Charles, Missouri.
The group won the prized Barbershop Quartet Gold Medal at the World Vocal Championships in 2006.
The convention will be held at Federation Square, Deakin Edge Theatre and Hamer Hall.
