Founded in 1999, the luxury, tented bush camp on the NSW South Coast, two and a half hours south of Sydney, is offering Sunday to Thursday stays with a full breakfast from $250 per couple per night in an original safari tent with a minimum stay of two nights. This is a saving of 36 per cent on normal tariffs.
In a deluxe safari tent with a freestanding, candlelit bath the mid-week, two-night B&B special is available from $300 per couple per night - a saving of $440. And in a large, king deluxe tent the special spring rate is now $400 per couple per night for a two-night stay with breakfast each day.
The mid-week rates are available from August 31 to October 1 and a minimum two-night stay is required. Conditions apply.
Guests booking a two-night stay at the eco-accredited camp on Friday and Saturday nights from now through to September 26 will receive a free whale-watching cruise valued at $130 per couple from Huskisson in the heart of Jervis Bay. The pristine waters of Jervis Bay are a prime site for watching the parade of humpbacks returning south from northern breeding waters. Two-night weekend packages are available from $1030 per couple including dinners and breakfasts over the two days.
Rates at Paperbark Camp include a gourmet breakfast and free use of bikes and also canoes, kayaks and stand up paddleboards on Currambene Creek which fronts Paperbark Camp's 12 raised tents camouflaged amongst spotted gums and paperbark trees.
Nestled in a peaceful bush setting, the camp also offers a communal campfire and an elevated lounge and treetop restaurant called The Gunyah (Aboriginal for meeting place) where guests can relax by the log fire and dine on fine cuisine created by Chilean chef, Emilio Erazo.
