THE five-star St James' Court, A Taj Hotel, in London has introduced the Sherlock Holmes Afternoon Tea with craft ale and select whiskey pairings.
Showcasing a mystifying selection of culinary rarities infused with alcoholic delights, the tea takes inspiration from many of Sherlock's intriguing attributes. The 221 B Macaroon is imbued with 25-year-old Scotch, while Moriarty's Bomb is a tantalisingly alluring coffee and Bailey's cheesecake.
The Sherlock Holmes Smoky Cigar arrives in the form of a smoked caramel mousse, and Watson's Moustache is the ultimate boozy addition in the form of a stout cupcake.
The selection of savoury sandwiches is inspired by "The Sign of The Four", the second of the Sherlock Holmes' novels, while "The Five Orange Pips" is named after one of the short stories.
The afternoon tea is priced from £35 per person.
