IF YOU like a craft brew, then hop it to the 2017 High Country Hops Festival at Beechworth on March 25.
The family-friendly event is a celebration of all things hops, with growers, brewers and local food producers showcasing their produce.
Now in its third year, the festival brings together all seven High Country Brewery Trail brewers – Black Dog (Taminick), Sweetwater (Mount Beauty), Bridge Road (Beechcroft) and Bright Brewers (Bright) along with recent arrivals, Rutherglen Brewery, Social Bandit (Mansfield) and Blizzard Brewery (Dinner Plain).
Producers including Milawa Cheese and Gundowring Ice Cream will feature some high-class produce designed to complement the beer and festivities.
Entertainment will be provided by up-and-coming local musicians along with Trixie the Clown, a jumping castle and archery for early arrivals.
Peter Hull from Sweetwater Brewing said the festival was “a fun day which showcases the breweries and beers of the High Country Brewery Trail, celebrates the great hops grown in our region and truly captures the spirit of the trail”.
