AFL legend Nathan Buckley's treasured football possessions are going under the hammer as he navigates a divorce from his former wife Tania.
More than 200 items from the Collingwood identity will be auctioned on May 1, with pre-sale estimates ranging from $50 to $5000.
The lots cover the years he was active as a player, coach and one of Australia's most respected football commentators, from 1990 to the present day.
One of the prized items for sale is lot 265 (above), Nathan Buckley's 2002 Grand Final guernsey, which is estimated to go for $3000-$5000. Buckley won the Norm Smith Medal for best on the ground, despite Collingwood losing the match to the Brisbane Lions by 11 points.
Auctioneer Charles Leski said it's unlikely the collection would have been offered for public sale had it not been for the personal circumstances.
"Nathan Buckley is an Australian sporting legend," Leski said.
"Among his many awards is the coveted Brownlow Medal, regarded as the highest personal achievement in Australian Rules Football. Nathan was also named as one of the top 50 VFL/AFL players of all time."
Nathan and Tania separated in 2020.
The auction will be held on Wednesday, May 1st from 10am. Details can be found at www.leski.com.au
