THE search is on for the unsung heroes working in aged care and disability sectors on the NSW Central Coast.
Nominations are now open for the inaugural Central Coast Aged Care and Disability Achievement Awards.
The awards are about recognising and rewarding the outstanding efforts and achievements of staff and businesses working in aged care and disability.
Event manager Elyce Bichel said the awards, presented by Seasons Network, give a nod to those who go “above and beyond” and give tirelessly to our aged care and disability care communities, including retirement villages, community groups and aged care employees.
Nominations are open until October 21 and can be made in the following categories: volunteer; home care employee or service; aged care employee or executive/manager; residential aged care employee or facility; disability sector employee; disability service; retirement village; community group/business; culturally diverse or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander project; and aged care or disability innovative project.
Anyone can nominate an individual or business. Winners will be announced at an event on November 18 at Diggers @ The Entrance.
