NSW is to get a new minister for ageing in a cabinet reshuffle announced by Premier Gladys Berejiklian, with Tanya Davies taking on the role.
Mulgoa MP Davies will replace John Ajaka, who has been dumped as minister for ageing, disability services and multiculturalism.
Ms Berejiklian and Deputy Premier and Nationals Leader John Barilaro announced the new cabinet line-up at Queanbeyan on Sunday.
In the reshuffle designed to "reset" the government for 2019, Mr Ajaka was one of four ministers ejected from cabinet which also included Adrian Piccoli who lost the education portfolio, Duncan Gay who held roads and Leslie Williams who had early childhood education and Aboriginal affairs.
Mr Ajaka is set to become President of the Legislative Council.
Unveiling the new cabinet, Ms Berejiklian said her government wants to make sure "every community gets a fair share of the State's economic success".
"Our new team will work hard to make life easier for people right across NSW," Ms Berejiklian said.
Veteran minister Brad Hazzard will replace Jillian Skinner in the health portfolio. Ms Skinner is set to quit politics after stepping down as health minister.
The new cabinet is set to be sworn in at Government House on Monday afternoon.
Mr Ajaka has held the minister for ageing portfolio since April 2014.
More to come.
