THE Westpac Rescue Helicopter has received a helping hand from a Rutherford retirement village.
Signature Gardens, a retirement resort in the NSW Hunter region, presented the service with an $8000 donation, made up of $5,500 from a fair held last year and $2,500 from the village owner.
Helicopter service community liaison officer Adam Tyrrell said they were extremely appreciative of the donation.
“It’s very moving what the residents have done,” he said.
“Every dollar goes towards saving someone’s life.”
