Sound unbelievable? Probably because they are.
Plucked straight from the pages of satire news sites, headlines like these increasingly populate social media channels.
And even as ridiculous as they may seem, such stories continue to fool trusting readers around the world into believing their content.
From flat-out satire, to inflammatory headlines and fudged statistics, online news media can be a minefield for anyone seeking accurate and truthful reporting. During his recent US election campaign, President-elect Donald Trump made so many outlandish statements that multiple news sources around the world devoted entire stories and reporters to fact-checking his claims.
Florida-based fact-checking outlet PolitiFact found that, of a set of 158 things Mr Trump said, 78 per cent were false.
The issue has prompted an assistant professor of communication to pen a list of unreliable news sites to navigate the good and the bad.
"False, misleading, clickbait-y and satirical 'news' sources" is a publicly available Google doc, created by Melissa Zimdars, an assistant professor of communication and media at Merrimack College in Massachusetts.
The resource was initially created for Dr Zimdars' students of journalism and media literacy, but it quickly began the rounds on social media after it was posted on Tuesday.
"Many of the websites on this list continue to offer valuable journalism and/or satirical commentary," she wrote, but highlighted how easily a story or message could be misconstrued online.
"For example, a website included on this list wrote an overall thoughtful piece about the list, but the headline suggests that every source on this list is fake, which misrepresents the list."
Acknowledging varying scales of truthfulness, Dr Zimdars has split the list into four categories.
Category one includes "fake, false or regularly misleading websites", which "may rely on "outrage" by using distorted headlines or dubious information in order to generate likes, shares or profits.
Category two covers websites that "may circulate misleading and/or potentially unreliable information".
Category three is used for those websites that employ "clickbait-y headlines", while category four covers sites that are "purposefully fake with the intent of satire/comedy, which can offer important critical commentary on politics and society, but have the potential to be shared as actual/literal news".
The list includes well known satire sites, such as The Onion and ClickHole.com, as well as Breitbart, the far-right online outlet, whose chairman, Steve Bannon, has just been named Mr Trump's chief strategist.
Other sites include MSNBC.com.co, Inquisitr.com, Infowars.com, DailyCurrant.com and DrudgeReport.com.co.
Among Dr Zimdars tips for identifying fake or less trustworthy news sites was avoiding "websites that end in lo", such as Newslo, as these sites combine accurate information with misleading facts.
She also recommended watching out for odd domain names, bad web design and excessive use of capital letters.
About 134 websites are on the list, which Dr Zimdars is continuing to update with a team of librarians, after having received "hundreds of emails with suggestions".
She said that, while she trusted mainstream sources such as The New York Times and The Washington Post, even they "rely on particular media frames to report stories and select stories based on different notions of newsworthiness.
"The best thing to do in our contemporary media environment is to read/watch/listen widely and often, and to be critical of the sources we share and engage with on social media."
