THE Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has issued warnings about several supplements containing undeclared sildenafil.
According to the warnings, these products pose a serious health risk and should not be taken.
The substances include:
- 100% Healthy Food for Men
- Dragon Power Capsules
- France T253
- Gold Reallas XXX capsules
- MME Maxman IX capsules
- Real Skill Male Sexual Stimulant capsules
- Rize N Shine tablets
- V9 Male Sexual Stimulant tablets
Sildenafil is only available by subscription in Australia, but the administration’s investigations show a number of people had bought these products online.
Dragon Power Capsules also include zopiclone and phenolphthalein, also listed as prescription-only in Australia. France T253 contains chloramphenicol, an antibiotic used for topical treatment listed as prescription-only or pharmacist-only for ophthalmic use.
The administration has also warned against XXXL Penis Enlarging Ointment as it contains tadalafil, another prescription-only substance.
People are advised to be extremely cautious when buying medicines from unknown overseas websites. The administration is currently working with the Australian Border Force to stop future shipments of these products entering the country.
Consumers are advised to stop taking these supplements and return them to their nearest pharmacy for safe disposal.
Those with concerns should consult their health care practitioner.
Concerns about counterfeit medicines or medical devices can also be raised with the administration online or on 1800-020-653.
