Vasey RSL Care
Vasey RSL Care is a not-for-profit organisation with five residential aged care homes. Our organisation is large enough to have economies of scale (such as centralised administration), but small enough to retain a personal touch and stay close to everyone in our community.
Our organisation was founded to support veterans from World War I and war widows from World War II. These beginnings have influenced every aspect of our organisation and continue to do so. Around two thirds of our residents have a background with the Australian Defence Forces, or are the widows of ex-service personnel (sometimes both) and the other third of our residents are from the general public.
Vasey RSL Care offers a range of aged care services:
- Home Care - the help you need to maintain your independence and continue living in your own home with confidence
- Health & Wellbeing for Seniors - our Brighton centre offers a varied program of activities to help you maintain physical and emotional wellbeing
- Independent Living - self-contained one and two-vedroom rental units for war widows and veterans
- Residential Care - for some, it is heaven to have the household chores done, good company and a program of activites
Our residents share many traditional Australian values – sincerity, humour, mateship, perseverance, generosity, courage and a larrikin spirit – values bred through a lifetime of living and working in this great country.
In return, our staff show respect, support and compassion. We are here to help you maintain your health, happiness and wellbeing: we believe in discovering what matters to you and what makes you unique.
