When you walk in to a residential care home it can be hard to gauge the actual care that is provided with most people basing their judgement and decision on what they can observe or hear.

Kronstadt Gardens may not be the most modern up to date type of facility available, however what we can offer is exceptional highly recognised clinical and personal care for the residents who choose to make Kronstadt Gardens their new home.

We offer a homely feel and look, all our residents and the staff that work here are an important part of the RusCare family. We understand the needs that people have in their final years of life and will work hard towards providing them with the respect and dignity they deserve.

We believe person centred care is an important and integral part of what makes Kronstadt Gardens your preferred home. We listen to what our residents want, respect choices made by them and their families and representatives and strive to provide an atmosphere and environment that is friendly, caring and meets their needs and requirements as they change.

Our specialised staff will support and guide you through this emotional time and will be happy to answer any questions you may have or assist where possible to ensure the transition in to Kronstadt Gardens is as smooth and welcoming as possible.

Kronstadt Gardens is a single level 72 bed aged care facility situated in Dandenong South offering a range of care needs and requirements including; low care, high care, respite and a specially designed Dementia specific wing, offering a calm and tranquil environment with an expansive seasonal changing garden that stimulates the senses of not only our loved residents but the staff, family and visitors we welcome here.

Kronstadt Gardens is broken down in to 3 specific areas which are:

The Pavilions—This area has single rooms with each room opening onto a centre courtyard. They have 2 designated day rooms that are utilised by the residents and provide a great family meeting place when visitors are here.

Each room is clean and fresh and like all residents rooms, we encourage you to bring in personal belongings that are close to the hearts of the resident and that will make the transition into residential care as smooth as possible. All items brought it must meet all safety and infection control standards and requirements.

The Nursing Home—This is the area for our residents who require around the clock care and support by our dedicated clinical care team. Rooms range from single to doubles, are bright and comfortable and can be stylised with personal belongings to make it feel as close to home as possible. All items brought it must meet all safety and infection control standards and requirements.

Each area is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all year round with a team of Personal Care Assistants that are lead by highly trained Registered and Enrolled Nurses that ensure only the highest, dignified and professional care needs are met at all times. Nurses are available at any time of the day and night to answer any questions or concerns you may have.

The Dementia Unit— This specifically designed wing has been developed to meet the challenging needs of our residents that are experiencing the increasing symptoms of Dementia related conditions. Each single room has their own bathroom, are bright and extremely spacious with modern fittings and fixtures. Again personal belongings are encouraged to be brought in from a residents home to make the transition into residential care as smooth as possible. All items brought it must meet all safety and infection control standards and requirements. By having personal affects around someone it can greatly reduce the stress and anguish during this emotional time.

The wing is secure and is surrounded by a stimulating sensory garden, residents are encouraged to wander throughout the area and all efforts are made to ensure residents care needs are met at all times.
