Driving the deals down on rental vehicles.
MANY of us have to book a rental car from time to time: but do you know how to get the best price per day?
North Sydney-based DriveAway Holidays marketing manager Ashleigh Robinson says experienced travellers always make vehicle bookings well in advance and book and pay in full before starting their journey to avoid changes on prices, insurances and other aspects of the rental.
She says DriveAway customers who get the best deals book between 28 and 45 days in advance but at least three weeks before collection.
However, she warns that best booking times vary somewhat in east coast cities. “We recommend 47 days ahead in Melbourne, 26 in Sydney, 34 in Brisbane, 48 in Cairns and, for Adelaide, 41 days.”
